Tour Description

Starting at around 9am, going to Fatima, we will visit the Church of
Sanctuary of Fatima, as well as the House of the 3 Little Shepherds to whom the Virgin Mary appeared
from 100 years ago.

About 2 hours away from Lisbon, Fátima is a mystical place with a lot of spirituality. It is visited by thousands every year, and its apogee is in May, when the pilgrimages to the Sanctuary begin.

    We will continue our trip to the Monastery of Batalha, which is the greatest Gothic example of Portugal and is
    classified by UNESCO as World Heritage. It was offered by D. João I to Santa Maria da
    Victory as thanks for winning the battle of Aljubarrota.

    It follows the Tour to the Monastery of Alcobaça also World Heritage by UNESCO, founded
    in 1178 by the Order of Cister. It is here that D. Pedro and Inês de Castro are buried who lived
    an intense romance with the most tragic of the endings.

    Stop for lunch in Nazaré before contemplating the giant waves of Praia do Norte, where the
    adventurer surfer Garrett McNamara has surfed giant waves, some reaching 30
    feet tall.

    The tour continues to ÓBIDOS, a village that holds centuries of history between its walls and
    it houses vast architectural patrimony stuck of historical and religious motives. The famous “village of
    kings and queens “from time to time, the place of choice for rest and leisure of the Portuguese court.

    Before returning to Lisbon we will have the opportunity to taste the famous ginjinha of Óbidos.
